Superior Strength, Superior Thermal Performance.

Carmika™ Premium, a premium-grade product under the Carmika™ brand by Shish SmartBuild™, is a heavy-duty, rigid bubble insulation material engineered for demanding industrial, warehousing, and commercial building projects.

Manufactured with a rigid polypropylene (PP) air bubble core laminated between high-strength reflective aluminum or metallized foil surfaces, Carmika™ Premium delivers enhanced thermal insulation, maximum radiant heat reflection, and superior mechanical impact resistance.

Carmika™ Premium offers higher rigidity, greater puncture resistance, and higher tear strength, making it ideal for PEB structures, metal sheds, logistics hubs, agricultural facilities, and high-value industrial constructions.

At Shish SmartBuild™,
we engineer protection that stands stronger, lasts longer, and performs smarter — season after season.

Key Features & Custom Options

Rigid Polypropylene Core

Provides outstanding mechanical toughness and crush resistance during installation and lifetime usage.

High Radiant Heat Reflection (≥97%)

Reflects the majority of incoming solar energy, reducing internal building temperatures.

Superior Moisture & Vapor Barrier

Protects insulation spaces from condensation and humidity-related issues.

Increased Tear Strength

Enhanced resistance to tearing and puncturing (ASTM D2261: Warp 20–30 N; Weft 18–28 N).

Extended Lifespan

Designed to endure tough handling, rough site conditions, and high thermal stress.

Safe, Non-Irritant Handling

No fibers, dust, or hazardous emissions during handling and installation.

Installation Instructions:

1. Under New Metal Roofing Installation

  • Unroll Carmika™ Premium over roof framing (rafters or purlins) before fixing roof sheets.
  • Align sheets carefully — no need to stretch the insulation.
  • Overlap adjacent sheets by at least 75–100 mm (3–4 inches).
  • Fasten insulation to purlins or framing members every 400 mm to 600 mm using heavy-duty staples, mechanical fasteners, or washers.
  • Seal all overlaps and seams using reflective foil tape to maintain vapor barrier continuity.
  • Install metal roofing sheets directly over the insulation.

2. Retrofit Installation (Inside Existing Roofs)

  • Secure Carmika™ Premium using light framing (wood battens, tension wires, or steel channels) inside the existing shed.
  • Maintain an air gap of 20–50 mm between Carmika™ Premium and the roof sheet to optimize radiant barrier performance.
  • Staple or fasten securely at regular intervals.
  • Tape seams and overlaps carefully.

3. Wall Applications

  • Install vertically or horizontally across wall studs, leaving an air gap where possible.
  • Fasten using cap nails, screws with washers, or mechanical fasteners.
  • Seal all joints with reflective tape for maximum moisture and thermal control.

4. Installation Tips:

  • Handle carefully to avoid damaging the reflective surface.
  • Maintain an airspace for best thermal performance wherever possible.
  • Foil side must face the air gap for maximum radiant barrier effect.
  • Do not overstretch or compress the rigid sheet during fixing.
  • Install during dry weather for best tape adhesion and sealing.
