Smart Reflective Insulation for
PEB Structures and Metal Sheds

Carmika™ Classic, under the Carmika™ brand by Shish SmartBuild™, is a high-performance reflective bubble insulation designed for India’s demanding construction environments — particularly Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEB) and metal roofed industrial sheds.

Manufactured by laminating two highly reflective surfaces (pure aluminum foil) over one or two layers of polyethylene air bubbles, Carmika™ Classic forms a durable radiant barrier that reflects up to 97% of solar heat, minimizing thermal gain inside buildings.

Engineered for thermal efficiency, moisture control, and installation ease, Carmika™ Classic offers excellent indoor comfort improvement while reducing energy costs across warehousing, logistics, agriculture, and residential projects.

At Shish SmartBuild™,
we don’t just insulate — we build smarter, cooler, and
more sustainable structures for India’s future.

Installation Guide

Recommended Tools:

Tape measure

Utility knife or scissors

Staple gun, cap nails, or mechanical fasteners

Reflective foil tape (for sealing seams and joints)

Safety gloves (optional for handling edges)

Installation Instructions:

1. Under New Metal Roofing Installation

  • Unroll Carmika™ Classic directly over purlins or trusses before fixing roof sheets.
  • Allow minimum 50 mm overlap between adjacent rolls.
  • Fasten insulation securely using staples or cap nails at 300–450 mm intervals.
  • Tape all seams and overlaps with reflective foil tape for complete radiant barrier continuity.
  • Install metal sheets directly over the insulation using standard roofing fasteners.

2. Retrofit Installation in Existing Metal Roofs

  • Fix lightweight framing (battens, wires, or rods) below existing roofing.
  • Drape Carmika™ Classic under existing roof panels maintaining minimum 20–50 mm air gap above insulation.
  • Secure using fasteners and foil tape to create a tight, reflective shield.
  • Avoid sagging to maintain an effective air space.

3. Wall Applications

  • Staple Carmika™ Classic vertically or horizontally to wall studs.
  • Ensure tight sealing at edges, overlaps, and openings.
  • Cladding or internal walls can be installed over insulation if needed.

4. Installation Tips

  • Always install reflective surface facing the air gap for maximum efficiency.
  • Install with air gaps wherever possible to boost R-value.
  • Avoid tearing or puncturing the insulation during handling.
  • Wear protective eyewear and gloves if working overhead.
