Sunpack Sheet Price in India: PP Corrugated Sheet Cost, Sizes and Uses

Sunpack sheet" is the name most Indian buyers use for PP corrugated sheet: a lightweight polypropylene board with a fluted core between two flat walls, sold for packaging, partitions, signage, floor protection and reusable boxes. Sunpack sheet prices in India are usually quoted per piece or per square foot, and the price of any sheet comes down to four things: thickness, wall structure (3-ply or 5-ply), size and order quantity. Once you know those four, you can compare quotations from different suppliers on equal terms.

This guide explains how sunpack sheets are priced, what market rates look like, which thickness suits which job, and what to check before you order.

What a sunpack sheet is

A sunpack sheet is made from polypropylene (PP), extruded into a hollow board. In cross-section it looks like a row of tiny tubes, or flutes, held between two flat skins. That structure is what makes it light but rigid.

"Sunpack" is so widely used in India that it has become the everyday word for this kind of board, whoever made it. You will also see the same product called:

  • PP corrugated sheet

  • PP flute board or flute sheet

  • PP hollow sheet

  • Corrugated plastic sheet or "corriboard"

They all describe the same type of board. What differs between suppliers is the thickness, the wall structure, the density of the plastic and the finish.

How sunpack sheets are priced in India

Suppliers quote in three common ways:

  • Per piece, for standard full sheets. This is common for small orders and local dealers.

  • Per square foot, which is common for printed sheets, cut sizes and price lists.

  • Per kilogram, which some manufacturers use for bulk industrial orders, because the amount of plastic in the sheet drives the cost.

All three describe the same sheet in different units. To compare them, ask every supplier for the same details: thickness in millimetres, wall structure, sheet size and, where they quote it, the weight or GSM of the sheet.

Market rates in October 2026

From published listings by Indian suppliers and marketplaces checked on 30 October 2026, plain sunpack sheets were most often listed at roughly ₹3 to ₹20 per square foot, and standard full sheets at around ₹120 to ₹150 per piece. Thicker industrial sheets, printed sheets and fabricated boxes were listed higher.

These figures are market rates for comparison only. They are not a Shish Industries price list. Rates move with polypropylene prices, thickness, colour, printing, quantity and delivery location. For pricing on your own requirement, request a quotation.

What changes the price

Thickness

Thickness is the biggest single driver. A thicker sheet uses more plastic, so it costs more, but it is also stiffer and carries more load. Shish manufactures PP corrugated sheets from 2 mm to 12 mm thick.

Wall structure: 3-ply or 5-ply

  • Twin wall (3-ply): two flat skins and one row of flutes. This is the standard sunpack sheet used for general packaging, light protection, signage and agriculture.

  • Multi wall (5-ply): an extra layer of flutes for heavy-duty use. It costs more than a twin-wall sheet of the same thickness, but it handles heavier loads and harder impacts. Shish's 5-ply multi-wall sheet is a patented design, developed for heavy industrial, automotive and export packaging.

Size

A larger sheet costs more per piece, but often less per square foot. If you need many small parts, it is worth asking whether the supplier can cut to size, because cutting at the factory reduces your waste and labour.

Colour and finish

Standard colours are usually the most economical. Custom colours may need a minimum quantity. Corona treatment, a surface treatment that helps ink stick, is needed for good printing and adds a small cost.

Printing and branding

Printed sheets are priced higher than plain ones. Logos, warning signs, handling instructions and batch codes are all common.

Special grades

Anti-static or conductive sheets, used around electronic components, cost more than standard sheets.

Fabrication

Boxes, bins, trays, partitions, dividers and layer pads involve die-cutting, welding or riveting, so they are priced as finished products rather than as flat sheets.

Quantity

Bulk orders are almost always priced lower per sheet than single pieces.

Choosing the right thickness

There is no universal rule, because the right thickness depends on the load, how often the sheet is handled and how long it must last. As a practical starting point:

Use

Typical choice

Signage, display boards, light separators

Thin twin-wall sheet

Floor and wall protection on construction sites

Medium twin-wall sheet

Partitions, dividers and layer pads between products

Medium to thick twin-wall sheet

Reusable boxes and bins for factory logistics

Thick twin-wall or multi-wall sheet

Heavy parts, automotive components, export crates

Multi-wall (5-ply) sheet

If you are unsure, send the supplier the weight of the product, how the box is stacked and how many trips it must survive. A manufacturer should recommend a thickness and structure against that load, not just quote the cheapest sheet.

Sunpack sheet vs cardboard vs wood

Buyers usually come to sunpack sheets from corrugated cardboard or wooden boards. The trade-offs are simple:

Property

Sunpack (PP corrugated)

Corrugated cardboard

Plywood or MDF

Water and humidity

Does not absorb moisture

Weakens when damp

Can swell and rot

Weight

Light

Light

Heavy

Reuse

Many cycles

Usually one trip

Many cycles, but heavy

Chemicals and oil

Resistant

Absorbs

Absorbs

Cleaning

Can be washed

Cannot

Limited

Cardboard is usually cheaper for a single trip. Sunpack sheets usually win where packaging is reused, where it faces the Indian monsoon, or where the product is oily or wet. The higher purchase price is spread across many trips.

Common uses

  • Packaging: protective packaging for electronics, pharmaceuticals, food, beverages and consumer goods.

  • Automotive: trays, dividers and protective covers for parts during manufacture, assembly and shipping.

  • Construction: temporary floor and wall protection, and reusable panels on site.

  • Logistics and warehousing: reusable bins, pallet sleeves and dividers.

  • Advertising and signage: lightweight, printable boards and display stands.

  • Agriculture: plant protection covers and temporary fencing.

What to check before you order

  1. Thickness in millimetres, written on the quotation.

  2. Wall structure: twin wall (3-ply) or multi wall (5-ply).

  3. Sheet size, and whether the price is per piece, per square foot or per kg.

  4. Weight or GSM of the sheet, if the supplier quotes it, so two quotations can be compared fairly.

  5. Colour, and whether it is standard or custom.

  6. Surface treatment if you plan to print on the sheet.

  7. Anti-static grade, if the sheets will be used near electronics.

  8. GST and delivery, and whether they are included in the price.

A simple delivery check

Two sheets of the same size and thickness can contain different amounts of plastic. Lighter sheets are cheaper to make and usually less stiff. Weigh a sample sheet from the first delivery and compare it with later deliveries. If the weight drops, so has the amount of material you are paying for.

Frequently asked questions

What is the price of a sunpack sheet in India?

From supplier and marketplace listings checked on 30 October 2026, plain sunpack sheets were mostly listed at roughly ₹3 to ₹20 per square foot, and standard full sheets at around ₹120 to ₹150 per piece. Thickness, wall structure, printing and quantity change the price. These are market rates, not a Shish price list.

Is sunpack the same as PP corrugated sheet?

Yes. "Sunpack" is the common Indian name for PP corrugated sheet, also called PP flute board or PP hollow sheet.

What thicknesses are sunpack sheets available in?

Thicknesses vary by manufacturer. Shish makes PP corrugated sheets from 2 mm to 12 mm, in 3-ply and 5-ply constructions.

Is a sunpack sheet waterproof?

Polypropylene does not absorb water, so the sheet does not soften or rot in humid conditions or rain. This is one of its main advantages over cardboard.

Can sunpack sheets be printed?

Yes. For good ink adhesion the sheet should be corona treated. Logos, warning signs and batch codes are common.

What is the difference between 3-ply and 5-ply sheets?

A 3-ply (twin wall) sheet has one row of flutes between two skins. A 5-ply (multi wall) sheet has an extra layer of flutes, which makes it stronger and more impact resistant for heavy-duty and export packaging.

Are sunpack sheets reusable?

Yes. They can be cleaned and used for many cycles, which is why they are widely used for returnable boxes, bins and partitions.
