Carmika™,[object Object],Eco Radiant Barrier

Smart Heat Reflection and Moisture Control Solutions.

Carmika™ Eco, a flagship radiant barrier product under the Carmika™ brand by Shish SmartBuild™, is engineered to deliver superior solar heat reflection, moisture management, and energy efficiency across India’s diverse roofing and construction applications.

Constructed with a woven polyolefin core laminated between highly reflective metalized polyester (PET) films on both sides, Carmika™ Eco serves as a high-performance radiant heat barrier and vapor control layer under metal, tile, or shingle roofing systems and wall assemblies.

Available in two specialized variants:

  • Solid (Non-Perforated): Acts as a complete vapor barrier, blocking moisture ingress.
  • Breathable (Perforated): Allows controlled vapor permeability for ventilated roofing systems.

Carmika™ Eco is lightweight, durable, fire-rated, and specifically optimized for Indian construction requirements — supporting energy savings, indoor comfort, and long-term building durability.

At Shish SmartBuild™,
we reflect more than heat — we reflect smarter, sustainable construction practices.

Key Features & Custom Options

High Reflectivity (≥95%)

Reflects radiant heat before it enters the building envelope, reducing cooling loads.

Energy Saving Performance

Supports passive cooling of metal-roofed structures, warehouses, poultry houses, and commercial buildings.

Lightweight and Strong

Easy to transport, cut, and install on-site without requiring heavy equipment.

Moisture Management Options

  • Solid Version: Complete moisture barrier.
  • Breathable Version: Allows controlled vapor escape, preventing condensation buildup.

Custom Roll Widths

Standard rolls at 4 ft and 8 ft width; custom sizes available upon request.

Cost-Effective

Installation Guide

Recommended Tools:

Measuring tape

Heavy-duty scissors / utility knife

Staple gun / mechanical fasteners

Reflective foil tape

Installation Instructions:

1. Under Roof Sheeting (for Metal Roofs)

  • Before roofing sheets are fixed, lay Carmika™ Eco horizontally or vertically across rafters or purlins.
  • Overlap adjacent sheets by at least 50 mm to 100 mm (2–4 inches).
  • Secure sheets using staples, cap nails, or mechanical fasteners to framing members.
  • Seal all seams, joints, and overlaps using reflective foil tape to create a continuous radiant barrier.

2. Retrofit Installation (Inside Existing Metal Sheds)

  • Install Carmika™ Eco using light framing, batten systems, or tension wire systems.
  • Maintain an air gap of 20 mm to 50 mm (¾–2 inches) between Carmika™ Eco and the roof sheet for maximum thermal performance.
  • Secure top, bottom, and side edges firmly to framing members.

3. Wall Applications

  • Install vertically or horizontally across wall framing studs.
  • Seal all overlaps and joints with foil tape.
  • Install wall cladding or sheeting over Carmika™ Eco if applicable.

4. Installation Tips:

  • Avoid puncturing the membrane except at fixing points.
  • Ensure the shiny reflective side faces the airspace for maximum radiant barrier performance.
  • Breathable version should not be installed in situations requiring a complete vapor barrier.
